St Peter's Church
As St Peter's Church is only a short walk from the school, we utilise our links with the church community at every opportunity; this can be through children leading services celebrating Christian Festivals, key national memorial days or developing the teaching and learning of RE.
Well done to members of Red Kite class for leading a wonderful Harvest Festival service and thank you to all children who shared their learning.
We were overwhelmed by the amount of produce donated by parents which will be donated to the Storehouse charity in Bury ST Edmunds, Thank You all so much.
Thank you to those parents who were able to attend our Remembrance Service led by members of Osprey Class.
Each year in the build up to Christmas the whole school walk to ST Peter's Church for the popular Cristingle Service. The celebration is named after the Christingles that are lit during the celebration. Christingles are made from an orange decorated with red tape, sweets and a candle. They have been part of our history for the last 50 years. We hold a collection to support children and young people in the darkest situations imaginable.
It is a great opportunity for year 6 children to support the younger children in making the Christingles as part of our Christingle factory.
Members of Red Kite Class and Eagle Class took part in an Easter Experience. Members of the church community led a variety of activities to engage the children and develop their knowledge and understanding of the Easter Story. Thank you to all those who volunteered, the children really enjoyed it.
