Wren Class Home Learning Resources
Following the announcement of school closures, we are writing to let you know of our expectations for home learning tasks. We have outlined below a selection of tasks which can be completed in the blank exercise book provided. We have also provided a list of websites with some useful resources/ ideas. All the information can be found on our school website www.thurstonprimary.net under each class heading and emailed through parent mail.
The home learning tasks will be in the form of a learning grid. Children will be required to choose daily learning tasks from the grid. All these tasks are linked to Early Years expectations and the early years’ curriculum. We appreciate that some tasks will take longer than others, and in this case the amount of tasks completed each day will be at the discretion of parents. Our expectation is that all tasks on the learning grid will be completed over the course of the next few weeks and some tasks i.e. handwriting and reading will need to be practised daily.
In addition to the grid we will provide some reading books, but we trust that you will have an additional selection of books at home to read.
We look forward to you sharing the work that you have done on Tapestry where we can observe your child’s progress and add any comments or next steps for you to try. Please upload photos as well as comments where possible.
